Guðrún Ása is the chair of the organisation committee of the conference. She is the policy advisor to the Minister of Health and has a special interest in harnessing data and digitalisation for advancing healthcare.
Guðrún Ása is a medical doctor, with a specialist license in Internal Medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Iceland and an MB ChB degree in Medicine from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. She is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Medicine at the University of Iceland alongside her other professional commitments. In addition to her medical responsibilities, she has actively engaged in research and teaching at the University of Iceland.
Guðrún Ása possesses extensive professional experience within the healthcare system. Her involvement extends to various committees and working groups associated with the Ministry of Health, Landspítali University Hospital, Primary Health Care of the Capital Area, and the Icelandic Medical Association
